Its a wrap round 3 Red bank - Monday, May 06, 2013

Great turn out for Rd3 and alot of bar to bar racing in most of the classes. Only few racers checked out and kept lead for the whole race. A lot of new/old faces showing up to do battle this year. Weather was perfect and there was enough wind blowing to keep dust moving for the most part. If your looking for competition AWRCS has it. Our mini and youth classes are growing each round and we had some of the best racing with alot of positions switching up this weekend. Results are posted. Would like to thank all the staff, volunteers, course marshels and racers for making AWRCS the finest woods racing xc in the tri state. People are talking and the series just keeps getting better per rds of racing for 2013. Would like to thank Sabre equipment for the gas cards and Jeff out of Pittsburgh from FCR suspension for the certificates to the racers.

update - Monday, May 06, 2013

Update on Dennis Woomer, He is in good spirits, but in pain. If anyone wishes to visit, he is at presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Probably will be until early next week. Everyone say a prayer for him and family.

RD3 Red Bank - Friday, May 03, 2013

Ten seconds will be heard this weekend at Redbank new Bethlehem pa.. Join us for a family fun weekend of Racing, mini track 1.2 miles. Youth 4.6 miles and adult 9.5 miles. Utv's race this round with a 3.5 to 4 mile track and starts at 4pm Saturday. No GPS # for this rd but road is middle run road fairmont city and should come up on GPS and look for signs. As always please buy your stuff at the towns that let us come in and race. Plenty of gas and grocery stores and burger king and pizza Joes for that good home taste of Italy. Car wash also as Rocky is a new landowner that gave us permission to use his property. Great weather all weekend and a spectator friendly track!!

atv photo's up Thanks Kim!! - Monday, April 15, 2013
rd 2 crow canyon - Sunday, April 14, 2013

What a great weekend of racing! AWRCS working like a well oiled machine. Great tracks and racers! Can't thank the staff and volunteers enough making the series better each round. Want to also thank the racers for welcoming all the new racers showing up. After having meeting/dinner with crew tonight to go over weekend. A lot of the new racers/familys couldn't believe the family atmosphere and help making them feel part of the series. Seems word on street if you want a great cross country series packed with competition AWRCS is the place to race and spend the weekend at! Might have to change are one liner to tri states best xc family racing series period!! We are a growing series and bringing more tri state families to xc racing. AWRCS thanks all of you!

2013 updates - Friday, March 15, 2013

There has been a ton of stuff going on behind the scenes of AWRCS since banquet! First off Super Dave 10 second man has got married to Sue in registration! We wish them many years of happiness together! On another note Jess and Randy are taking a year due to house/baby/etc. Very exciting time in there lifes, although I hear Randy will be lining up next to some racers this year. We have been getting a lot of new racers preregistering for upcoming 2013 season. Its great to talk/email racers and industry folks about AWRCS. Word is we are the most family friendly race series out there! We thank you for passing around the word family's are welcome! And without them AWRCS wouldn't be the series it has grown to be. There has been a lot of updates in the rules section and would like everyone to please read them. Along with the changes we regret to say there will be a increase at the gate. We hate to do this, but we almost had to cancel the races/sg ohv park/toy run due to insurance. The insurance Ive had for last 14yrs through national motorsports for my toy run, SG ohv park, AWRCS. The carrier Mercury decided they quite writing policy's in the U.S. for 2013 year. Which left us one remaining carrier to work with through national motorsports. We found out late Feb..We have been looking/searching talking to other series trying to find a more economical solution with none to be found. A lot of series don't have, or have a policy that doesn't cover racing just a general liability coverage which we also have but doesn't cover the racing part. Our racing insurance has gone up 113% for the 2013 season. This is the reason everyone is seeing riding area's/ series closing down this year for lack of insurance and not being able to pay for it. AWRCS will not do races without having full coverage to land owners, staff. myself. We also lost long time gas card sponsor Sabre equipment for 2013. AWRCS is looking for another sponsor. Until then stiller motorsports will be giving out gas cards for the 2013 season. We are also working on other promo's with updates on them shortly. We have switched to hot pink arrows for the 2013 season for adults and youth. Visibility you can pick one out 100yds away. they don't blend in! Rd 1 is exciting with YAMAHA paying contingency with youths also included! Also CAN AM is back with atv/ SXS contingency as well as Husky putting out big dollars up for grabs. BMW must have known about KTM buying them with all the money they are offering. keep checking back for updates and weather looking good for first rd cloudy and 50ish 10 seconds!!!

rd10 parker Pa. tracks - Tuesday, October 09, 2012

Tracks are in and a ton of changes to parker. We got another 100+ acres for more virgin track. We are having scoring move up past pits and we changed track up where the racer after pitting will go out and come back in through the big valley below. You will be able to see your racer from a long way out come through scoring and then proceed back across the valley. We had to mow alot of the track and recut most of the track as it looks we have never been there and the field section are 2-3 foot high. So keep on the cut sections or get docked minutes period! mini is 1.4 miles with a nice flow through field sections and tight sections throughout the locust trees that are growing up. The youth atv track is around 4.5 miles and free flowing. they will run the big valley for the pitcrews to see them come through for over a mile. youth bike will be around 6 miles with some single track thrown in. Adult atv course is 12.5 miles with hell's hollow thrown in and a 2 stage hill climb to come out of or a easy way around which adds 45-60 seconds. Bikes will be around 14 miles with alot of single track thrown in. Adult tracks are changed up alot from previous races on the property.  Ten Seconds!!  As we welcome back Super Dave and Sue!!

parker update - Monday, October 01, 2012

all new youth track. pretty cool and free flowing. you go out about a mile and parents can watch them come back to the pit area for about a mile then they head back out to other side. We got them going between a bunch of hay bales. also got another 140 acres from another land owner. So there will be alot of virgin trails for adult!!

Parker update - Sunday, September 30, 2012

all new mini track and starting area. pits are in and started to lay out youth and adult course. We are having clintonville vfd serving breakfest and lunch/dinner again. Everyone seemed to love there food. We have alot of cutting and hacking going on as you can't see the track. No one has been riding there. So a lot of new track and change ups. Also got a call today from another land owner and looks as we got some new acre's to run on!! On with the BRIDGE. Looks as they are painting last section, so it may be open.  Coming from 80 down make a left onto 58 at foxburg and no problem making the tight turn with trailers or motorhome and look for signs. its only 3 mile detour. Coming from pittsburgh side go rt28 to Kittanning and take 268 to 68 to east brady and about 4.5 miles you will make left onto kissinger mills rd and follow signs. church of god across from kissinger.  stacy rd parker pa for gps. there is no street number.

Harrys update - Wednesday, September 05, 2012

Please keep praying for Harry Ayslworth (course marshel) As alot of you know he had a roll over in Sat. youth race. He's in good spirits, but has alot of healing to go on.

From the beginning: He has 9 broken ribs and a left broken arm. The ribs punctured his right lung. He still has a chest tube in. He had surgery yesterday morning to put his arm back together. They repaired it with plates and screws. He is currently in the operating room now to remove some excess blood that has collected on the outside of his lung. The chest tube has not been successful in removing it all. He is doing well as far as his spirits go and can not wait to get out of there.
We are at UPMC Presbyterian. Floor 12D Room 227. Hopefully this weekend he can come home.
